Hello, travel and dog enthusiasts!
Some time back embarked on an adventure to Savannah, and boy, was it an experience to remember! But the highlight? Our stay at the Thunderbird Inn. 🌟

Picture this: a place that marries chic with charm, modern vibes with vintage throwbacks, and guess what? It's 100% dog-friendly. That's right; this retro-inspired inn is THE place for you and your furry friend.
Stepping into the Thunderbird Inn feels like you've time-traveled to the vibrant mid-century era. The decor? Think sizzling '60s with a fresh twist. And if you're a lover of all things retro (like me!), you're in for a treat. But here's the cherry on top: a MoonPie and an RC Cola waiting right at your bedside – complimentary, of course! It's their unique way of saying, "Welcome, relax, and enjoy!" And enjoy, we did.

Every morning, we were greeted with the enticing aroma of fresh doughnuts. Warm, fluffy, and oh-so-delicious! It’s the kind of breakfast that gets you up, even if you’re in vacation mode. I mean, who can resist a doughnut, right?

Now, here’s the paw-some part. This trip was extra special because it was our first with our adorable puppy, Guinness. Like every pet parent, we were a tad anxious about how he'd adapt to a new place. But the Thunderbird Inn? It's like it was made for him. They welcomed him with open arms (and a few treats!). He felt right at home from the get-go. There were no puppy jitters, no midnight whines. Just a happy pup exploring his new temporary home, tail wagging all the way.

The inn's staff was beyond accommodating. They dished out recommendations for dog-friendly spots around Savannah, and believe me, there’s plenty we'll share in upcoming posts! We roamed parks, visited cafes, and simply basked in the Savannah sun. And every evening, returning to the Thunderbird felt like coming home.
Savannah itself is a dream. It’s a blend of historical richness with contemporary charm. But our stay at the Thunderbird Inn, with its commitment to making every guest (two-legged or four!) feel cherished, was what made the trip.
So, if you're planning a visit to Savannah and looking for a place where you and your doggo can kick back and enjoy, the Thunderbird Inn should top your list. It's not just a place to stay; it's an experience. A dog-friendly, doughnut-loving, retro-reveling experience.
As we packed up and got ready to say our goodbyes, Guinness gave one last glance at the room. I'd like to think he was saying, "Can we come back soon?" And I couldn’t agree more!
Until next time, happy travels and tail wags! 🐶
